Desert Steel

Concerto for guitar and drum machine. Bobby Lee hails from Sheffield and may be as British as they come, but he's got that JJ Cale down-in-the-desert choogle thingy down pat. Atmospheric as hell, and out now on the always interesting Tompkins Square imprint.

after spending 3 months in the Pyrenees and some days in your wonderful hometown of Barcelona the nice thing about home is to catch up with all the music you've posted. gracias

Sheffield eh? My ears pricked up at that...or eyes anyway. Have to admit I'd never heard of my fellow Sheffielder, hardly surprising as I've not kept in close touch with the local scene over the last fifteen years or so but I've done a little digging and he seems to be getting a name for himself. I'm going to check this album out so many thanks for the tip. Cheers
