Home Again

Yet another straggler from last year's bounty. Jason Isbell's The Nashville Sound came first in the always twang-heavy reader's poll of No Depression magazine recently, and for a good reason. The former Drive-By Trucker's sixth album is yet another solid batch of articulate white man's blues, and we can't have enough of that now can we?

We definitely can't have enough of that! Jason Isbell always manages to find a way to speak to your heart. A lot of times it's in that acoustic Americana vibe, but now and then he'll throw in that contrasting overdriven guitar just to make sure he's got your attention. They don't make 'em like that guy anymore.
Glad you mention guys like him, Brent Cobb, Horse Feathers, etc.
