Adios Maestro

And while we're on the subject of flamenco, I just got the sad news that Manuel De Los Santos Pastor, better known as El Agujetas or El Agujeta de Jerez, passed away a couple of weeks back. The master with the raw voice was 76 years old. Miss him.

Jerez Cheers

Recorded as a homage to Jerez culture, this recent flamenco release is the real deal alright. Master singers of the genre as El Torta, Agujetas, and Capullo De Jerez sing their hearts out in various hotblooded combinations, accompanied by such six-string virtuosi as Diego Del Morao and Barullito. And in case you were wondering: V.O.R.S. stands for Very Old Rare Sherry. ¡Salud!

Moraíto Revisited

Since you all liked the songs I posted here two days ago by Moraíto (1956-2011) so much, here's some more of his flamenco guitar wizardry. This time around, he accompanies the terrific singer Manuel Agujetas.
