I saw Rory in concert in either 1977 or 78 and bagged his autograph after the show, as I often did in those days. Unlike some other artists I could mention, Rory was a real gent.
Loved his 1st solo album to bits. It set down a marker for all the great music that followed. Live he was a life force - and, as has been said, a really decent bloke.
