Played me some Pond last night. Fine threesome from Portland, Oregon. Made two albums on Sub Pop in the early nineties, of which the eponymous debut is well worth seeking out. Slightly psychedelic non-grunge. Young splendor indeed. Wonder what these guys are doing now...

Great choice. The first Pond LP was my album of the year in 1993. I saw them live at the Camden Underworld. The had no roadies, setting up and taking down their gear themselves - and they made an awesome racket in between.
