Go To Town
"Confess all my sins like you want me to..." Hard to choose from so many quality options, but yesterday evening I finally decided that I'm Not Like Everybody Else just has to be my all-time fave Kinks song. That it was tucked away on a B-side defies all belief. What's your poison, people?

It's a great call.
I`d go home to Dead End Street.......
Yep this is a great track. Love lots of the Kinks b sides, Big Black Smoke, Berkeley Mews etc my fave tho' I suppose is probably Mindless Child of Motherhood flip side to Drivin' as I recall.
The song was written by Ray Davies but sung by his brother Dave which was unusual with the band. Each brother usually sang his own compositions. Since it was released as the flip side of "Sunny Afternoon" in 1966 and never appeared on a US album at that time, I don't remember hearing the tune until the mid 70s. By then it was my favorite song and to judge by the amount of covers it inspired it was the favorite of many guitar bands as well.
"And I don't want to live my life like everybody else."
Thanks all! Dead End Street & Mindless Child of Motherhood are great picks.
