Karen Dalton did write songs... she just never got to record them. In collaboration with guitarist Peter Walker, overseer of the late singer's estate, the impeccable Tompkins Square label has now tried to set the record straight, asking a bunch of current 'great women of song' to interpret her legacy. Which in most cases definitely works a treat. Here's exhibit A, sung by the lovely Isobell Campbell.
